Ibon director to speak on terrorism, globalization

TORONTO–Antonio Tujan Jr., executive director of Ibon Research (Philippines) and current Chairperson of the Asia-Pacific Research Network (APRN) will speak on “TheWar on Terror and Imperialist Globalizatiuon” on Thrusday, May 20, 6:30 p.m. at Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE), Room 2-213, 252 Bloor St. West.
He will touch on Aid and Security, Toronto Ventures, Inc., a Canadian mining interests and the plight of indigenous peoples in the southern Philippines

He will also discuss post-election prospects in the Philippines.

The Asia Pacific Research Network (APRN) was established in 1999 to develop cooperation among alternative research centers, NGOs, and social movements in Asia and the Pacific in order to strengthen advocacy from the community up to the global level. APRN members address various national and international issues like trade, globalization, TRIPS, WTO, finance, etc.
