BDO Remit (Canada) Ltd., a subsidiary of BDO and Unibank, the Philippines largest bank, has opened a remittance office in Toronto to widen its reach and make its service available to Filipinos working and residing there.

Canada is home to some 820,000 Filipinos where majority live in Ontario. As the Philippines has consistently ranked as one of Canada’s top immigrant source countries over the past decade, BDO Remit (Canada) Ltd. will serve as a conduit for Filipinos who are sending remittances to the Philippines to benefit their loved ones.

BDO Remit opened an office in Toronto as part of its mission to provide fast, safe and convenient remittance service to Overseas Filipinos. While BDO Remit has thousands of partner locations worldwide on top of its own offices in select countries, it sets up its own presence in countries that are highly populated by Overseas Filipinos to be able to reach out and serve them, first hand. To send money back home, Filipinos just need to visit BDO Remit (Canada) Ltd. at 2004 Yonge Street, Toronto, ON, M4S 1Z7.

For the convenience of hard-working Filipinos, BDO Remit has made its products and services customer-centric. For only PHP100 and a valid ID, beneficiaries can easily open a BDO Kabayan Savings from over 1,000 BDO Unibank branches in the Philippines. BDO Kabayan Savings, which already comes with a passbook and an ATM debit card, also has a zero maintaining balance feature and free life and accident insurance, among other benefits.
