Fil-Am artist exhibits works at New York’s Little Underground Gallery

Jalandoni_Jeanne_TriciaNEW YORK, NY — The Little Underground Gallery is pleased to present an exhibition of new works by Filipina-American artist, Jeanne Fesalbon Jalandoni. The exhibition features oil paintings of females who identify as bicultural Americans; as well as encaustic paintings that examine Jalandoni’s Filipino ancestry. “Bicultural Identities & Histories” opens Thursday, July 5, with an opening reception on Friday, July 6th, from 6-8PM.

“Bicultural Identities & Histories” will run through July 20, 2018. The artist will be present during the opening reception, July 6th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Gallery hours are Monday- Saturday 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM, Sunday 1:00- 5:00 PM. The Little Underground Gallery is located on the lower level of Jefferson Market Library (425 Ave of the Americas at 10th St, New York, NY 10011).


Jeanne Fesalbon Jalandoni (b. 1993, New York, NY) earned her BFA at New York University with a concentration in painting. She is currently showing at the Berkshire Art Museum (North Adams, MA; on view until October 15, 2018). Jalandoni has participated in numerous group shows at Shopkeepers Gallery, Washington, D.C., (2018); Kimmel Galleries, New York City (2018); NY Presbyterian/ Allen Hospital, Bronx, NY, (2017-2018), and in Chelsea, NY (2017). She has also exhibited in Berlin, Germany, and Paris, France. Jalandoni will be part of a Filipino-American group show at Gallery 6/67 (Santa Ana, CA) in Fall 2018. Jalandoni was an artist-in-residence at 36 Chase & Barns Residency (2018; North Adams, MA; in affiliation with Gallery 6/67, Santa Ana, CA).
