Magdaragat: An Anthology of Filipino-Canadian writing
We are looking for original, unpublished prose (non-fiction or fiction) as well as poetry or works in hybrid forms for the upcoming anthology.
Theme: ‘Becoming Filipina/Filipino/Filipinix in Canada’
Topics may include but not limited to: Life in Canada as immigrants, as “Third culture kids,” Work and Working Lives, History, Culture and Traditions (Old and New), Finding Self, Finding Community, Old Country, Being Mixed-race.
Submission Deadline: January 31, 2022
Word count up to 6,000 words. Authors must be of Filipino ancestry and identity as Filipina/Filipino/Filipinx, be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada.
