Chatham-Kent Filipino Canadians elect officers

The Chatham-Kent Filipino-Canadian Club was started in 1977 by Clarita Levitt and Esther Schierenburg in Chatham, Ontario. Chatham is a town of 43,000 people and is located between Windsor and London on Highway 401. On Sunday, August 1, 2004, the Filipino-Canadian Club of Chatham-Kent held its Annual Election of Officers at the Erieau Beach Pavilion.

Ang Bisaya picnic

The Annual Summer Picnic of Ang Bisaya was held at Earl Bales Park (along Bathurst south of Sheppard) on Saturday, August 2. Freshly cooked lechons, Cebuano style were provided by the association. Batangas association donates a classroom

TORONTO–“The Batangas Provincial Association of Canada (BPAC), is the first Filipino organization in Canada to donate a classroom under the Classroom Galing sa Mamamayang Pilipino Abroad (CGMA) Program,” Philippine Labor Representative Rolando Rico C. Olalia announced. The hand-over of the association’s donation was made by its officials at the Philippine Consulate General, Toronto on Aug.
