TORONTO–For the first time in it’s 47-year history in Toronto, the Caribana, billed as “an explosion of Caribbean cuisine, music, revelry, as well as, visual and performing arts”, had an Ati-Atihan group from the Philippines dancing behind the Panmasters Steel Orchestra as they played Caribbean music during the Caribana Grand Parade held August 2, 2014.

Delegates from the Marikina Valley Host Lions Club, namely: Ruth David, Susan Sardillo, president; Nitz Dumrique, secretary; and Alex Dumrique, Past District Governor, 301-D2. They belong to a delegation from one of 120 clubs worldwide that attended the 97th Annual Convention of Lions Clubs International held last July 4-8 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. About 18,000 Lions, Lionesses and Leos attended.
