Jesus Is Lord marks 20th year

September 4, 2011, Jesus is Lord (JIL) Church Ontario celebrated its 20th anniversary at the Metro Toronto Convention Center North Building with over 2,200 people in attendance. The event was also visited by some prestigious people from the Philippine Consulate Office, City of Toronto Councillor Dr. Raymond Cho, and Rev. Teck Uy, representing the Filipino Ministerial Fellowship (FMF) association of Christian pastors and churches.

Rev. Ptr. Domeng Rivera, a member of the JIL Church Worldwide, Inc. Executive Board, preached the inspired revelation of the Word of God giving weight on patience, in running with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith (Hebrews 12:1c, 2). And through Christ Jesus the marks of a true apostle were performed among us with utmost patience including signs, wonders and miracles indicative of the mighty works of God manifesting in our lives (2 Corinthians 12:12). Another highlight of the anniversary celebration, was a stage play presentation performed by many talented and gifted JIL people showing epic stories of several Biblical characters that rise up and came forth as “champions” despite the insurmountable odds they faced, victoriously passing the test of fire (so to speak) like David, Joshua, Esther, Joseph, and Abraham – all being portrayed in a Broadway-energized and Spirit-enabled cast of home grown drama and musical artists. They gave life and soul to all the character beings with passion for the Lord.

It is true that we now live in a different era. We have a different atmosphere now where people seek for fame, power and material things. Yet in this generation of breakthrough after breakthrough in technology, we can still relate to the lives of these Bible Champions, because the God that we have, know and serve is the same yesterday, today and forever, and His unchanging nature is our foundation. We can entrust our lives to the immutability of this God. The mandate continues “Let us run the race with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto JESUS, the author and finisher of our faith. Hebrews 12:1c-2a”. We will not stop until the whole world come to know that He is a Great God, the glorified Christ of the Jesus is Lord Church. We pray always that next year and beyond, we will see Him exalted even more. To God be all the glory, honour and praise!!!

Jesus is Lord Church (Quebec) Celebrates its 12th Anniversary

The Jesus is Lord (JIL) Church, Quebec held its 12th Provincial Anniversary in Outremont Theater, Montreal, Quebec on September 3, 2011. The colorful celebration which attended by around 800 people lived up to its theme “Raising Up Champions” and was gracefully attended as well in full support by pastors representing the Filipino Ministerial Church Association in Quebec (FILMAQ), the Montreal City Council, and JIL members from Ottawa, Ontario.

The highlight of the event was the preaching of God’s Word shared by Rev. Domeng Rivera member of the JIL Church Worldwide, Inc. Executive Board, who came directly from the Philippines with his wife, as Guest Speaker. He challenged the congregation to be “Champions” for His greater glory. Then a Musical Concert showcasing the multi-talented and gifted members of JIL Montreal and Ottawa was presented. To God be all the glory, honour and praise.
