Orientation for newcomers
The Philippine Consulate General in Toronto will conduct Newcomer’s Orientation Program for Filipino Immigrants, Contract Workers and their Dependents on Sunday (May 22), from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This seminar is sponsor by the Mt. Zion Filipino Seventh Day Adventist Church and will be held at 140 St. Regis Crescent, Downsview, North York.
A joint project between the Philippine Consulate General in Toronto and the Catholic Community Services of York Region (CCSYR).
Topics that will be discussed during the seminar include Philippine government programs and consular services, information session on various subjects such as Canadian regulations on education and training; social and community services; job search techniques; employment standards; health care system, programs for foreign-trained professionals, etc.
