Filipinas shine at Beauties of Asia 2012

The multicultural pageant of the year celebrates the beauty in diversity and Beauties of Asia 2012 held its first audition on February 25, 2012 at the Splendid China Mall in Scarborough.

An impressive representation from the Filipino community with five strong contenders namely Alev Usta, Regine Semira, Nicole Hernandez, Meghan Garvida, and Veronica Salcedo graced the catwalk in their cocktail dresses and business outfits, and brought much excitement to the crowd with their talent showcase and panel interview.

The board of judges was led by Filipino vocal diva, Jenifer Camacho. A special guest performance from Filipino songbird, Munica Trino, was a delightful hear with her rendition of “I Will Always Love You” and “Hero.”

The active delegation in the organizing committee makes it an exciting year for the Filipino community as well.

The second audition will be on March 17, and the third audition on April 7, 2012 at the Splendid China Mall at 2:00pm.

Beauties of Asia 2012 is looking forward to more participation from the Filipino community in these 2 open auditions to have the chance to compete for the title of Miss Beauties of Asia 2012 in the Grand Finals on May 27, 2012 at the Hilton Hotel & Resort in Markham.
