PCCT Prez Tugadi with Harper visit
TO PHILIPPINES, INDIA, HONGKONG
The President of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce-Toronto (PCCT) is traveling to India, the Philippines and Hongkong together with the entourage of Prime Minister Stephen Harper from November 3 to November 11, 2012.
The delegation left Saturday, November 3, on board the Prime Minister’s Airbus 300 in Ottawa, Oswald Tugadi, President of the PCCT will confer with counterparts in India, Hongkong and the Philippines to explore business opportunities that will mutually benefit members of his organization and those of his counterparts.
In Manila, Tugadi will also confer with Cora de la Cruz, Executive Director of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce (CanCham), and a concurrent member of the Board of Directors of the PCCT – and who, before her appointment to CanCham, was chair of the PCCT Trade Mission to the Philippines slated February 15 to 27 next year. Tugadi said he will finalize with dela Cruz the details of the trade mission to that country as approved by the PCCT Board of Directors.
The PCCT President is also scheduled to meet with the Directors and Officers of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) to explore opportunities in trade and investment among members of the two organizations.
A meeting has also been arranged for Tugadi and Romulo Romero, CEO and Principal Consultant of the Center for Effective Organization, for the latter’s prestigious company to hold a seminar on various topics for the benefit of the members of PCCT, when Romero and his team travel to Canada early next year.
Tugadi is also set to visit the Philippine Chamber of Commerce-Toronto GK Village in Paranaque City to personally attend to the signage of the housing project for the marginalized sector of Philippine society. The project was donated by some of the directors of the PCCT during the term of immediate past president Rafael Nebres.
Also included among Prime Minister Harper’s entourage are Ed Fast, Minister of International Trade and Minister for the Asia-Pacific Gateway and Filipino Canadian Senator Tobias Enverga.
