WAR HORSE: FREE TICKETS TO VETERANS
Award-winning smash hit for Performances on Nov. 13 to Dec. 2, 2012 at Toronto’s Princess of Wales Theatre.
Remembrance Day was instituted in 1919 to observe the end of hostilities of the First World War, which ended at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. Since then, the day recognizes all armed forces that died in the line of duty and honours all veterans who fought in all wars since.
WAR HORSE, the internationally acclaimed play about loyalty, family and the affirmation of life even in the darkest moments, takes place before and during the First World War.
Each Canadian veteran and each still-serving member of our armed forces will receive one free ticket to WAR HORSE for any performance of the show from November 13 to December 2, 2012. Tickets will be available in person only at the Princess of Wales Theatre box office, 300 King Street West, Toronto. Each veteran will also be able to purchase companion tickets at the very special prices of $39 or $69.
WAR HORSE began performances in Toronto on February 10, 2012. The show will end its run on January 6, 2013, setting a record as the longest-running professional play in Canadian theatre history.
