A Studio Six Valentine Show
What a better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day with a concert re-uniting three of OPM’s Best ( Organisasyon ng Pilipinong Mang-Aawit ) , Gerry Lara , Ronniel Mendoza and Josie de Leon!
Gerry Lara, started his musical career when he joined the Music Making Company in the early 90’s.He performed with the group in various hotels all over the Philippines. His first solo album was produced by Vehnee Saturno with its carrier single “ Basta’t Ikaw” under Ivory Records. He was nominated for Best New Male Recording Artist at the Awit Awards in 1995.
Ronniel Mendoza, was a mainstay of Sa Linggo n APO sila ( with the APO Hiking Society ) from 1990 until 1994. He released his first album with Dyna Records , and made hits with “ Kung Sakali Man“ (a remake of Pabs Dadivas ‘ original ) and “ Kahit Hindi Mo Mahalin “ by Aaron Paul del Rosario.
Josie de Leon , is a familiar name to many in the Fil- Canadian community. She has been dubbed as Toronto’s Diva, always with her classy and flawless performances. She won the OPM Fe S. Panlilio Music Award in 1991, making her the youngest OPMer to win the competition.
Miss de Leon says about this upcoming show,“ I am so excited to share the stage again with two of my co – OPM performers who I looked up to and admired so much when I was young! “ she says jokingly
Gerry on the other hand, says “ this show will bring a lot of happy memories for us specially having Ronniel Mendoza ,fly from Manila to do this !”
Special participation acts from fast rising young performers , Rita Tabago and Monarie Ocray are also something to look forward to .
