Ateneo Alumni’s 11th scholarship dance

The Ateneo Alumni Association Canada’s (AAAC) Chairman, Bernie Sychangco recently announced the holding of the 11th AAAC Scholarship Dinner-Dance at the Malvern Community Centre in Scarborough on September 24, 2005.

This activity caps the fundraising activities for the year, a momentous occasion being the start of the second decade of the AAAC’s successful fundraising programs.

These programs started in 1995 and have evolved into a year-round series of scholarship fundraising programs starting with the Annual Spring Dance, the Annual AAAC Golf Tournament (with its beginnings as the Fr. Bonoan Memorial Tournament), capped by the Annual Scholarship Fundraising Dinner-Dance.

To date, the AAAC has funded twelve (12) full scholarships, with six (6) scholars already having graduated, at all of the five Ateneo Universities, namely, Ateneo de Davao University, Ateneo de Naga University, Ateneo de Manila University, Ateneo de Zamboanga University and Xavier University (Cagayan).

The current dinner-dance seeks to generate funds for an ever-growing need for scholarships to support the education needs of qualified but needy students. Ticket cost is $25.00.
