Kalayaan Centre to hold AGM, election

The Kalayaan Cultural Community Centre will hold its annual meeting and election of a new board of directors on Sunday, March 5, 2006 from 2:00 to 5:00 o’clock in the afternoon. It will be held at the interim building on 5546 Timberlea Boulevard, Mississauga. This is the end of the terms of the whole board of directors so a complete set of 19 directors will be elected. The annual financial report shall be taken up first then the president will, on behalf of the board of directors, make the annual report to the general membership.

The election will be open to all qualified candidates. The rules of the election shall be announced at least two weeks before the election by the COMELEC appointed for this one-time task. All registered members (those who have paid their current membership fees) are urged to come and exercise their rights as members.
