Kalayaan 2007 election

Bring yourself and your friends at the election of Kalayaan 2007 officers on August 13, 2006, Sunday, 2:00 p.m. at KCCC Orbitor.

Get involved to serve and be united to work together for the celebration of the Philippine Independence Day in 2007. It is a great challenge to be a part of Kalayaan. As a volunteer work, it is a thankless job, but it’s well worth the continuing effort to help make the Filipinos be recognized as a visible force in the Canadian mainstream. To have a strong group, we need dedicated people who are willing to work together with each other. Please encourage your friends to run in the election in whatever capacity they can help.

Positions to be filled are: Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, Auditor, Business Manager and Public Relations Officers (two or more). In accordance with the Kalayaan Constitution and By-Laws, candidate for Chairman shall have one year active membership with the Kalayaan organization in good standing. No husband and wife team shall be elected at the same time to any positions as Chairman, Vice-Chairman and Treasurer. Voters shall be bona fide members of an association affiliated with Kalayaan. Each member association shall have two voting representatives; one person, one vote.
