Noted Filipino healing priest to visit Toronto
By Mila A. Magno
He has earned a reputation as a priest with a God-given gift of healing. And so, for the last 6 years, hundreds of people from all walks of life and from every corner of the world have been descending on the Trinitas Home for Contemplation, Retreat and Healing Center at the foot of mount Mayon hoping to be healed by Fr. Efren Borromeo.
Fr. Momoy, as he is popularly known, reportedly has healed many people of their illnesses, including those suffering from terminal cancer. And many people have gone back to the center founded by the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity to personally thank him and to bring new patients.
It has been reported that Fr. Momoy’s first act of healing happened several years ago when a dying old man for whom a burial casket has already been prepared literally came back to life, shortly after being given the last rites by Fr. Momoy. As a missionary priest assigned to two far-flung islands, Cagraray and Batan Island, Fr. Momoy’s special gift of healing became more evident as sick people in the islands, without the help of doctors, hospitals or medicines (there were none of these in the islands), were cured of their illnesses after seeing Fr. Momoy.
I will be hosting Fr. Momoy during his visit to Toronto from September 1 to 9, following healing missions in Europe and the US. During his visit in Toronto, Fr. Momoy will be celebrating Holy Mass followed by healing services and prayers for the sick. Currently, plans are being made for holding the healing services in two churches in Metro Toronto – to be announced sometime later in the month of August. To keep abreast of details of Fr. Momoy’s visit, readers may log on to the following website: www.milamagno.com/healing or inquire via email addressed to healing@milamagno.com.
