Toronto music fest, awards launched
TORONTO–The Executive Officers of the Toronto Media International “Filipinesca” and Dr. Victoria Santiago launched the 2nd Metro Toronto Music Festival and Awards Night last August 19, 2006 at the Golden Valley Restaurant in Scarborough. Two of the awardees were present during this event, Crystal Sahagun and Janito Soliven.
The Music Festival and Awards Night will happen on November 18, 2006 at the Rembrandt Banquet Hall at 930 Progress Avenue, Toronto. This event is a ‘Live to Tape TV Coverage’ produced and directed by Edgar de Guzman.
As of press time the awardees are: Ati Atihan Group, Vonnie Beltran, Mike Bustos, Jennifer Camacho (to be contacted), Lilac Cana – Soprano, Emeline Cruz, Cecile Dimabuyu, Ma-Anne Dionisio (to be contacted), Melisa Flores – from Montreal, Edna Francisco, Orly Inocentes – Instrumental, Elena Juatco (to be contacted), Jason Nunez, Martha Joy, O.N.S. (One Night Stand) (to be contacted), Philippine Heritage Band, Crystal Sahagun, Juanito Soliven, Spirit of Aloha (Lily Talebian), Karen Tan, Kristine Tan, Ely Torrenueva, Albert Villaruz – Instrumental, Zena Zagala and Emilio Zarris, Jr. III.
