THE NEW STRONGER CITY OF TORONTO ACT – LAND TRANSFER TAX

At present, a home buyer pays an average of $4,000 Land Transfer Tax to the Province.
Bill C-53 recently passed by the Legislature will allow the City of Toronto to collect Municipal Land Transfer Tax. Willie REODICA opposes Bill C-53, and feels that it must be repealed or amended. This new “tax grab” is not affordable to first-time home buyers and investors in Toronto.

Stop the exodus of businesses and employment from Toronto to the 905 Regions.

Extend the Bloor/Danforth subway line to Malvern Town Centre.
