Dela Cruz honored woman entrepreneur
TORONTO-The Markham Small Business Enterprise Centre, in partnership with YMCA Business Centre and WINGS Canada, celebrated Women Entrepreneurs in recognition of International Women’s Day on March 8, 2004.
Cora dela Cruz, an active member and Vice President of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce (PCCT) Toronto, as well as Vice Chairman of the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Eastern Canada Chapter, has been chosen to join a five-member panel of successful women entrepreneurs to recognize the achievements of women entrepreneurs.
The event was intended to honor successful women entrepreneurs with international backgrounds, to share experiences and exchange information and to discuss issues relating to women on the move. Recognition is given to women who have proven to be successful entrepreneurs and have made a contribution to the community providing excellence and leadership in the service of others.
In addition to being a founding member and past president of the Canadian Association of Philippine Travel Agents (CAPTA), Cora dela Cruz is President of Delamarc Corporation, a company that is involved in travel and tourism, business and government consulting and education and training.
