Senate, House, DOJ sought to probe 2022 election irregularities
Global Transparency and Transformation Advocates Network (GTTAN), in emailed letters dated August 15, 2023, separately requested the Senate, House of Representatives and the Department of Justice to investigate allegations of massive fraud in the 2022 elections, arising from the discovery of a clandestine Private Network found to be the source of all local and overseas 2022 national election return transmissions to the COMELEC’s Transparency Server.
“It (the discovery) points to a systematic world-wide manipulation of the May 9, 2022 electoral results,” said GTTAN, who called on Sen. Francis Tolentino, Chair of the Senate Blue Ribbon and Justice Committees, Rep. Florida Robes, Chair of the House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability and Justice Secretary Jose Remulla to conduct an investigation without delay to assure the people that their sovereign right will be protected and that everything possible will be done to restore their faith in elections.
GTTAN’s request for investigation has been endorsed by a number of high profile personalities including Bishop Jose Colin Bagaforo (President of Caritas and Head of the Episcopal Mission on Social Justice), Fr. Roderick Salazar (former President, Univ. of San Carlos), Brig. Gen. Eliseo Rio Jr. ret. (former DICT Secretary), Augusto Lagman (former Comelec Commissioner and former Namfrel Chair), Franklin Ysaac (Bank Executive/IT Consultant), Sonny Africa (Exec. Dir., IBON Foundation), Sen. Lee Rhiannon (Member of the International Observer Mission), and Rev. Dr. Patricia Lisson (Chair, International Commission on Human Rights Philippines, Canada).
