TORONTO–Ang Negrosanon Association is inviting former residents of Negros Occidental and Filipinos in Ontario to attend its Induction Ball Dinner Dance this coming October 16 at Rembrandt Hall in Scarborough.
Edwin C. Mercurio, Press/Public Relations Officer of the association said that the event will give immigrants from Negros Islands the opportunity to attend the event and link up with their province mates on the association’s upcoming events and activities. ‘Filipiniana’ will be the theme of the occasion and guests and participants will be wearing native attire of their choice showcasing Philippine customs, costumes and heritage.
To be featured, is ‘Filipiniana Fashion Show’ which will highlight various costumes from different provinces.
The new sets of officers for 2004-2005 to be inducted into office are: Ed Birondo, president; Dolly Juanero, executive vice-president; German Solis, Remy Laxamana and Joel Marilla, vice-presidents; Estrella Mercurio, secretary; Joyce Lo, treasurer; Edwin Belzunce, auditor; Edwin Mercurio, P.R.O.; Board of Directors are Ramon Hojilla, Rene Ladrido, Roger Maglayo, Edwin Mercurio, Edith Monotilla, Jeselyn Moreno, Nydia Nene, Leda Richards, Gina Severino, Boom Valera, Bart Jardeleza, Carmen Jardeleza and Rufo Rivera.
