Musical evangelization comes of age

TORONTO–“Praising God doesn’t have to be dead serious and dry. God is fully alive among us and wants us to enjoy the life He gave us. We should sing, shout and dance for Him.”

That’s the message Arun Gogna, Bo Sanchez and Bella Dimayuga are spreading in their presentation, “All Out for Jesus: A Worship Revolution”. Their North American tour makes its Greater Toronto Area stop on May 5 at Scarborough’s Stephen Leacock Collegiate Institute, 2450 Birchmount Rd., Scarborough and on May 6 at Sts. Martha and Mary Church, 1870 Burnhamthorpe Rd. E., Mississauga at 7:00 p.m.

The Philippinesí most renowned musical evangelists will bring their exciting form of praise and worship, certain to inspire and set the hearts of the faithful on fire. Their rallies have won praises from those who had the privilege of attending– no, “participating” in them.

Gogna, Sanchez and Dimayuga are all extremely gifted, blessed with numerous talents. They are all recording artists, music ministers; they preach the word of God and respectively, a theology professor, a best-selling author and a professional singer/dancer who is now president of her own entertainment company. They all share the same belief that they give their all to God through helping their less fortunate brothers and sisters.

Sponsored locally by Couples For Christ (CFC) Canada and its charity ministry, ANCOP (ANswering the Cry Of the Poor) Canada, the rallies’ net proceeds will benefit Ancop’s Gawad Kalinga project as well as the charities of these music ministers in the Philippines.

Gawad Kalinga is a grassroots project to build 700,000 homes in 7,000 communities in 7 years for the poor and homeless in the Philippines. Many of these communities have been completed, bringing life and hope to depressed areas, changing the lives of former slum squatters.

Funds raised by ANCOP go into buying building materials, food, medication and other supplies. The manpower is supplied by many volunteers such as medical and dental professionals, architects, engineers, carpenters and others. Diplomats, politicians, entertainers and other personalities often lend a hand, literally, to the projects by helping to build and paint the new homes.

Much still needs to be done and support by groups and individuals throughout the world is crucial to continue this massive undertaking. Toronto-area Christians can support these great causes while having a great time by attending “All Out for Jesus: A Worship Revolution” and future ANCOP projects.
