10-year old Filipino-Canadian, Katharine Reyes received recognition from Markham Mayor Frank Scarpitti on Monday, Sept. 30 during the Markham City Council Recognition and Awards Ceremony at the Markham Civic Centre for Katharine’s achievements for 2013 including: 3 Gold Medals at the World Championships of Performing Arts, CNE Rising Star Junior Grand Champion and the York Region Celebration of the Arts Bursary Award Recipient.
