Malolos Group annual picnic

The “Malolos Group” of Ontario, Canada, an all volunteer, informal and non-profit organization will hold its annual picnic on June 11, 2006 at Mississauga Valley Community Park (Location D), 1275 Mississauga Valley, Mississauga (corner Mississauga Valley and Central Parkway).

Time of the celebration will be from 10:00 am to 6 pm. Food and drinks will be potluck

This gathering will also be the group’s participation in the celebration of the National Independence Day.
The group is very actively involved in the following civic projects in the city of Malolos and to some extent in the province of Bulacan:

• Scholarship project: four university scholars (please note that another four just graduated)

• Used books and magazines project: recipients of reference books are various schools and libraries in Bulacan, i.e., elementary schools, Bulacan State University, Bulacan Provincial Library, Casa Real Shrine, Marcelo H. del Pilar Shrine, Barasoain Church Historical Landmark.

• Used clothes project: beneficiaries are Nazareth Home – a shelter for street children, and Emmaus House – a shelter for the elderly.

• Used computers project: recipients are the elementary schools in Malolos and Plaridel.

• Students Incentive Program: during graduation ceremonies, the Malolos Group gives a P1, 000 peso gift, as well as the Malolos Group Certificate to all Grade 6 class valedictorians of the 32 elementary schools in Malolos City and five elementary schools in Plaridel, Bulacan, to recognize their achievements.
The Malolos Group is calling on all Malolenos to join this celebration. This is an opportunity to meet old townmates, former classmates, missing friends and relatives and who knows, maybe your previous flames. This is the chance to reminisce the good, old and happy days.
