MFFC Youth performers begin summer activities
The Markham Federation of Filipino Canadians is gearing up for summer activities and the Youth Performing Arts Group (YPAG) is busy rehearsing for the multiple events they will be performing at Flag raising ceremonies to celebrate Philippine Independence day will be on Sunday, June 7 starting at 12 noon.
Performances by the YPAG will be plentiful, both as a group and individual acts. The MFFC Seniors will also be performing throughout the day. Special guests and friends of the MFFC have also signed up to perform that day.
The YPAG will also performduring Canada Day celebrations in Markham. It will be held at Milne Park with performances by so many different artists and groups throughout the day. There will be various booths that sell different things and activities for the whole family. Fireworks will begin late in the evening.
Watch out for A Taste of Asia, an annual event that brings thousands of people crowding onto the street market along Steeles Ave and Kennedy Rd. The YPAG will also be performing several numbers that day along with other ethnic artists and groups. Attendance for this event has been overwhelming and has been touted a great success.
