Fil-Can Action Research Summit
The Filipino Canadian Action Research Summit , “Changing Policies, Changing Institutions, Changing Minds” will be held on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015, at the Ted Rogers School of Management, Ryerson Univdersity (55 Dundas Street West, Toronto, Room 3-176- 9th Floor).
The event, a day of sharing and discussion about the experiences of the Filipino-Canadian community, will feature many Filipino-Canadian researchers, artists and community leaders who have explored issues related to working lives, youth/ageing, education, immigration, political activism, Filipino identity, gender, sexuality, and social/economic marginalization. Join us to hear about some of these diverse creations and studies, and discuss how they might changes policies, institutions and minds!
Speakers, performers and moderators will include:
Jo Simalaya Alcampo, Patrick Alcedo, Marla Asis, Jennilee Austria, Althea Balmes, Rupa Banerjee, Ben Bongolan, Nicole Cajucom, Denise Cruz, Valerie Damasco, Mithi Esguerra, Conely de Leon, Robert Diaz, Mila Garcia, Veronica Javier, Philip Kelly, Marissa Largo, Caroline Mangosing, Fritz Pino, Geraldina Polanco, Lui Queano, Jesson Reyes, and Ethel Tungohan.
