Hamilton trade show in April

February 25, 2007, Hamilton. Following on the heels of an overwhelmingly successful first trade show, the Hamilton Filipino Community Centre (HFCC) is organizing once again their biggest event for the spring season: the HFCC 2007 Trade Show, an exhibition of beauty, health and lifestyle. This will be held on April 14th, Saturday from 12:00pm-7:00pm at the HFCC building along King and Main street in Hamilton. Admission is free to the public.

“This is an opportunity for all entrepreneurs to show case their products and services to the Fil-Cans in Hamilton”, said Goy Santos, HFCC officer-in-charge of the event. “This is not only a trade show but a gathering of all Fil-Cans in Hamilton. We want to welcome everyone to our region. Not only are we gathering the traders, we also want this to be a community event.”

The event in partnership with Tiro Marketing and Communications promises a host of entertainment, food, free samples and door prizes. It would also be a venue for local organizations, sports and recreation groups to set up interactive demonstrations, distribute registration information and sign up new members. Apart from the trade show, HFCC will also hold a fund-drive for their calamity funds through raffle draws and items for sale.

Western Union, a global leader in money transfer services is the major sponsor for the event. According to Chito Gonzalez of Western Union, “we have always been a supporter of Pinoys who encourages entrepreneurship and this event is one of them. Likewise, it is also the objective of Western Union to support organizations that pursues charity fund-drive to help our countrymen in the Philippines”.

Guests for the show will have the opportunity to meet representatives from reputable companies informing a wide array of retirement plans including owning a home in the Philippines. PNB, one of the major exhibitors will be highlighting their latest services in housing and car loans. The Dignity Funeral Home Provider, the largest death care provider in North America with over 1800 funeral homes will also be offering competitive plans specifically for the show. Other exhibitors will be showcasing their latest products in make-up, skin care and health. Adding spice to the list of exhibitors will be a free spa and make-over and “on the spot” job opportunities in healthcare.
