UP Prep holds ‘When I’m 64,’ Reunion
The University of the Philippines Preparatory School (UP Prep) celebrated its 64th Anniversary with the theme, ‘When I’m 64.’
On the night of the big event on Feb. 17, 2018, held at Wack Wack Golf and Country Club in Mandaluyong, Metro Manila, Master of Ceremonies Mabini EQ Pablo opened the program by welcoming all attending Prepians and guests with his characteristic aplomb.
“It has been four long years since the last Grand Reunion of the best and brightest from undisputably the best high school in the country. As before, tonight will once again be a celebration of this shared heritage of ours; a night of fun, of laughter, of reminiscing, of catching up with one another,” Pablo announced.
The program featured “special presentations by school-grown talents, including a poetry reading, a comedy dance number, a classic tango, songs with original lyrics ad a medley of the rockin’ sixties songs,” Pablo reports from an FB post.
Three bands provided the music throughout the night:- the MC6 Band led by Joey Mundo, UP Prep ‘66, and Mike Pedero, UP Prep ‘67, the Walking Shadows Band; and the Reyes Brothers Band, headed by Camilo Reyes (Prep ’65).
