Natives of Buhi, Camarines Sur to rebuild group

Natives of Buhi, Camarines Sur who have resettled in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, are now intending to rebuild their association after businessman Marcelino Mendizabal was encouraged by advises from the Bicolano elders.
The town of Buhi in the province of Camarines Sur has been regularly visited by foreign tourists because of the “sinarapan” which is known as “tabios” which has been described as the smallest fish in the world, the sanctuaryof which is Lake Buhi. The said lake is clean and there more kind of fresh fishes like Carp and among others.
Mendizabal’s father, Lawyer Francisco served as municipal mayor of Buhi Camarines Sur for several years.
Two former presidents of the Buhi Association of Toronto (BAT) Cris Benedicto and Vicenta Ricafranca are supporting this project of the Buhi Association of Toronto.
