UP Prep 65 international reunion tour in Argentina, Brazil and Peru

UP Prep 65 held its international reunion tour November this year (2019) in Argentina, Brazil and Peru. The reunion was hosted by Linglingay Fonacier Lacanlale, Philippine Ambassador to Argentina, and member of UP Prep (High School) Class ‘65.

Prepians toured the popular tourist sites of the three countries, including destinations challenging to traverse such as Iguazo Falls, Perito Moreno Glacier National Park and Machu Picchu. The daring and adventurous tourists of mostly septuagenarians came out of the tour unscathed and jubilant after a marvelous experience of travelling together once again with classmates.

The closely knit Prepians have bonded even more through the years as they have held international reunions in the US, Austria, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, and Thailand, or wherever classmate Ambassador Lacanlale holds diplomatic posts.
Prepians also held a reunion tour of the Netherlands, Belgium and Northern France, this time hosted by classmate Dennis Morales and his wife, Lulu Morales then Ambassador to the Netherlands.

Another reunion tour was earlier held in Canada, specifically Niagara Falls, Niagara-on-the-lake, and Toronto, this time organized by this writer.

The reunion tours have been inspired by the memorable class field trips organized as part of the unique academic curriculum of UP Prep. These educational tours brought students to various cities in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
At present, there are suggestions to tour various Philippine destinations, New Zealand, South Africa or Jordan.
