Lucena City Association holds fun Christmas party

Lucena City Association holds fun Christmas party

TORONTO–The Lucena City Association of Ontario hosted its annual family Christmas Party at the Oriole Community Center last November 27. Lucenahins and guests from other parts of Quezon province enjoyed the evening of dancing, games, feasting on different delicacies and singing Christmas carols.

The evening started with a program for the kids and kids at heart. The kids enjoyed the parlor games and of course, excitement built up when Santa came by to greet and gave each one a gift whether they were naughty or nice. Following the Lucena tradition, Santa capped his visit by showering the kids with coins. It was a fun- filled pandemonium with kids and adults alike trying to get those lucky coins, the piece of good luck to usher them to a prosperous new year.

The evening was professionally emceed by Carlo Pacinos and Donna Cosijo, who came from the Philippines for a visit and to meet their fellow kababayans! For a Lucenahin, no party is a party without the dancing . Manny and Belinda Abellanosa, the association’s premier dance couple, made sure everybody were on their feet stomping to the beat of Zorba, gliding to the waltz ,tango ,latin and of course, line dancing music.

Jun Enverga, the president of the association, gave special appreciation and thanks to Al Huerto, Russel & Dolores Palaad , Joel & Mely Yago, Rely & Genalyn Guillermo, Ariel & Chato Vendiola, Romy Pielago, Robert Chionglo, Vicky Narvaez, Chat & Lito Aragoza, Esther & Danny Baldo, Edwin & Joji Abellanosa, Tristan & Em Enverga and Bal Yujuico for ensuring that all guests are having fun. Special thanks too to Edith and Rolly Vallena for the gifts and the music.
