The Philippine Consulate General in Toronto will dispatch two missions to Winnipeg, Manitoba and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in May 2005 as part of its Annual Consular Outreach Program. During these visits, Filipinos in Winnipeg and Saskatoon can avail themselves of consular services such as renewal and amendment of Philippine passports, legalization of documents for use in the Philippines, authentication of NBI applications, and issuance of Balikbayan visa stamps. Applications for entry visa applications to the Philippines will likewise be accepted.
The Consular teams would also process applications for dual citizenship of Canadians, who were formerly natural-born Filipinos. Oaths of allegiance to the Republic of the Philippines would be administered to applicants with complete documentary requirements.
Consul Julius D. Torres will head the Consular Team to Winnipeg which will be held at the Philippine Canadian Centre of Manitoba, 737 Keewatin Street on 21 to 23 May 2005.
Vice Consul Indhira C. Bañares, on the other hand, will lead the team to Saskatoon on 28-29 May 2005. Filipinos in nearby cities, like Regina, are invited to drop by the Filipino Canadian Association of Saskatoon Inc located at 14-115 3rd Avenue South, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan for their consular needs.
For more inquiries on the consular outreach, please contact the Philippine Consulate General in Toronto at 416 922 71 81. For residents of Sasktoon and nearby cities, please call telephone number (306) 653 4499.
