Justice for Jeffrey update

May 6th – Jeffrey’s 18th Birthday – family and friends celebrate at Reodica residence. Visits to cemetery.

May 7th – outreach continues GTA wide… All communities… organizations…cultures… Ethnic groups…

Media outlets… Ethnics radio…college radio…. Posters and flyers.

May 13 – Coroner’s Office notify Reodica’s lawyer by fax that inquest date still has not been set yet … Claims the Ontario Provincial Police are doing an investigation first…

May 15 – Justice for Jeffrey Coalition and Community Alliance for Social Justice (CASJ) to attend Miss Philippines-PIDC pageant at Rembrant Banquet Hall, Scarborough for outreach and awareness of the upcoming rally. We will have a table and possibly speak.

May 17 – Joel Reodica of J4J to speak live on air with Radyo Pinoy 101.3 FM and Paul De La Cruz about upcoming rally/march.

May 18-19 – Small group of supporters, J4J, and CASJ will picket outside of Coroner’s Office in Toronto.

May 20 – Press Conference at Filipino Centre Toronto – lawyer to give updates!

May 21 – Peace March and Rally… Begins in front of Nathan Philips Sqr on Queen St. at 2pm… To proceed at 2:30pm towards Police HQ and then end with program in front of Coroner’s Building on Grenville (?) ….Yonge/College area. 1.8 km away. Parents, children and youth are encouraged to attend…from Filipino communities and other cultures! Bring signs, comfortable shoes and prepare in case of rain!

May 24 – Family and friends invited to celebrate the one year death anniversary of Jeffrey. Intimate gathering…

June 29 – Jeffrey would have graduated from Jean Vanier Catholic Secondary. Plaque to commemorate Jeffrey will be presented to family.

June 30 – July 3 – Joel and Willie Reodica to outreach, raise funds and generate support for Justice for Jeffrey in Vancouver, BC at Luisianian International Conference / Reunion. **TBA**
