R.P. team runner up in student enterprise World Cup 2005
TORONTO–The Philippine team represented by the Sultan Kudarat State College finished first runner up in its league at the Students in Free Enterprise World Cup held in Toronto, Ontario on October 5-7, 2005. University students from 45 countries competed for the title of 2005 SIFE World Cup Champion at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC). SIFE Zimbabwe emerged as the Grand Prize Winner.
“This is a competition where the best business-minded students gather from around the world,” says Bruce Nasby, SIFE executive Vice- President.”It is fascinating to see different cultures unite together with the shared goal of making a position impact on their communities.”
More than 1000 people attended the competition, hosted by SIFE (students in Free Enterprise). SIFE is a global non-profit organization that mobilizes university students to create economic opportunity for others while discovering their own potential. SIFE students form teams on their university campuses and develop outreach projects that teach entrepreneurship, market economics, business ethics and finance in their communities.
