Filipino auto workers group to mark 2nd year

BRAMPTON–The Filipino Canadian Auto Workers Association (FCAWA) will be celebrating its second foundation anniversary on December 10 (Saturday), 6:00 p.m. at the South Fletcher Sports Complex, 500 Ray Lawson here with Mayor Susan Fennel.

According to Jose Javier Aureus, FCAWA president, majority of the members of the association are workers from the Daimler Chrysler Plant including their families and friends, Aureus said that FCAWA is also accepting special members from from non Filipino workers for as long as their spouses are Filipinos and for as long as they adhere to the constitution and by-laws of the association.

The affair will be highlighted by a raffle draw with many prizes to be given away.

Fifty percent of the proceeds of the celebration of the second year of the Filipino Canadian Auto Workers Association will go to the “Missionaries of the Poor” which is supporting abandoned chairen in the Bicol Region and Barangay Catmon, Malabon, Metro-Manila.
