Merging of two Pangasinan groups urged
Former Pangasinan Gov. Cipriano (Tito) B. Primicias called on the natives of Pangasinan living in Canada to unite for the progress of the province and the country as a whole.
Speaking during the 6th foundation anniversary of the Pangasinan Association of Canada (PACA) headed by the association’s president Willie Rapanan and the induction of the new officers, Primicias appealed for the merging of the two associations, the Pangasinan Association of Canada (PACA) and the Pangasinan Association of North America (PANA) in order to give more boost to the economic uplifment of the province of Pangasinan and the Philippines as a whole.
The affair was held last September 16 at the Malvern Recereation Center, #30 Sewells Roada Road, Scarborough, Ontario.
Pangasinan is one of the biggest province in the Philippines with 14 cities and 44 municipalities.
Aside from Rapanan, the other officers who were inducted into Office by former Governor Primicias include Julio Sison, excutive vice president; Noel Lalicon, 1st vice president; Jess Calicdan, Jr., 2nd vice president; Sixto Tulagan, 3rd vice president; Johnny Burguillos, 4th vice president; Franco Lustino, 5th vice president; and Lily Victorino, 6th vice president.
Terry Burguillos and Bercice Lustina, secretaries; Rose Peregrino and Sorinia Sison, treasurers; David Domingo, Genny Agrcia, Ben Sison, and Pascual Ramos, auditors; Priscilla Rapanan, Jun Jacob, Alice Junatas, and Gemma Lalicon, press relations officer; amd Quintin Palisoc, Merle Aldana, and Lan Sison, business managers.
The board of directors are Cesar Ramirez, chairman; Sam Castillo, Gloria Medina, Christy Pe Benito, Susie de Vera, Emory Bizarra, Romeo Panlilio, Romy Tan, and Nancy Miel.
PACA founders are Ernie Quinit, Ben Arcalas, Felix Tulagan, Romeo de Vera, and A lma Benemerito. They are also the association’s advisers.
