APO Ontario donates books, supplies to Cagayan de Oro poor school

An impoverished elementary school in Canito-an, Cagayan de Oro City, Mindanao, Philippines benefited from the first batch of new & pre-loved books, activity sets, art materials & school supplies donated by APO Southern Ontario Alumni Association (APO SON ALAS) members Cynthia Alino-Perez & spouse Glen Perez, Dr Nobella Tumbokon and Toronto free-lance writer Ricky Caluen. The freight charges were paid for by Ricky Caluen and APO. APO alumnus Rommel Abellanosa of APOMIN / APO Business Centre in Cagayan de Oro brought up the plight of the book-less school library & coordinated the joint project between APO SON ALAS & kind hearted Ontario residents. Donations of books, magazines, general & technical reference materials, arts & school supplies, etc. or cash to defray freight charges are appreciated & are welcome. Donation pick ups can be arranged or drop-offs can be made at Belle Optical, 1388 Queen St. West, Parkdale Village in Toronto by please calling 416-533-9888 / 416-588-2158 / 647-201-9991 or 416-901-9258 / 647-400-1925.

APO SON ALAS & APOMIN express their sincere and profound gratitude to all donors for quenching the thirst for knowledge poor Filipino students.
