PCCT to send 2nd trade mission

PCCT to send 2nd trade mission

TORONTO–One of the objectives of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce (PCCT) is to promote bilateral trade between Canada and Philippines, but more importantly, to provide opportunities for PCCT members to expand their markets.

“PCCT is again spearheading this 2nd Trade Mission to Philippines with the purpose of bringing together business and government in both countries to explore ways to further expand business, trade and investment”, says Cora dela Cruz, PCCT Chairman of Trade and Industries Initiatives, and immediate past president of PCCT.
Who Should Attend?

1. Canadian companies already doing business in the Philippines. They can make new contacts and reinforce existing relationship to increase their profile and raise important issues that could advance their business activities.

2. Canadian companies not yet familiar with the Philippines. They can also meet with senior business and government leaders to increase their understanding of the Philippine business and regulatory environment. They can learn about opportunities in the country and leverage the experience of other companies already present there.

3. Canadian companies already established in the Philippines. They will learn about the benefits of manufacturing in the Philippines and discover its role as a manufacturing base for goods destined for the North American market.

PCCT is not limiting the mission to its members. Last year’s trade mission included Canadian companies who were non-members and were able to establish business contacts as well as secured agreements that are now being implemented.

Date of Trade Mission: March 11–17, 2007

Partner- Organizations: Philippine Consulate General – Toronto; Department of Tourism – Philippines and New York; Philippine Embassy – Ottawa; Canadian Embassy – Philippines; Department of Trade & Industry – Philippines; Phil. Chamber of Commerce & Industry – Philippines; Canadian Chamber of Commerce – Philippines; Philippine Trade and Investment Center – Chicago.
