TORONTO–Philippine Independence Day Council (PIDC) is a non-profit organization whose main objective is to promote unity amongst Filipinos through Arts, Culture, Heritage and Sports. PIDC has been promoting and supporting various Filipino organizations for over ten years.

We have added charity as our mandate. PIDC pledged to build an ANCOP GK VILLAGE of over 30 houses for our poor kababayan in the Philippines. With you, we will continue to rebuild a nation and answer the cry of the poor

We would like to invite you, your family and your friends to the biggest and the best celebration of its kind, the Mabuhay Festival. Over 110,000 square feet of fiesta, shopping and revelry inside the world-class facility, the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. PIDC has been celebrating Mabuhay Festival for eight years and this year promises to be the biggest and the best Festival of them all. It is an event that you should not miss! Enjoy all day entertainment with continuous performances from the best of our local cultural groups and well-known entertainers. Our main featured artist is Ms. Ai Ai delas Alas, undisputed Comedy Queen and Box Office Queen flying direct from the Philippines.

We will also be featuring the Grand Santa Cruzan, Fashion Show, Cultural Shows and a world renowned Canadian National Ballet ballerina, Je-an Salas. New this year, Kidz Zone, there will be clowns, magicians, Bouncing Castles, Obstacle Course and other children’s activities. We will also have the Sports Zone. Players from all over North America will be competing for the first time, the Mabuhay Table Tennis Championship Cup. There will be exhibitions and Ping Pong enthusiast will have the chance to join and play with the champions.

The Philippine Chamber of Commerce Toronto (PCCT) will bring their Trade show plus over 100 PIDC vendors and exhibitors coming from Chicago, New York, Washington DC and as far as Manila will be on hand for your shopping pleasure. A mecca for deals and bargains, a shopper’s paradise indeed.
