UPAA-Toronto: ‘Despicable Act’

UPAA-Toronto: ‘Despicable Act’

The Council leads the entire membership of UPAA (Toronto) in strongly condemning the MASSACRE OF MAGUINDANAO. This despicable act committed against innocent human beings cannot and must not be allowed to pass without the adminsitration of speedy justice and without holding the perpetrators to account and pay for their hideous crimes.

THIS MASSACRE IS SUB-HUMAN.

No one must escape justice, not even – but especially – highly placed government officials. In the past, investigations of hideous crimes fell through the cracks and have gone by without justice being administered to its fullest. LET US NOT ALLOW IT TO HAPPEN THIS TIME.

WE BELEIVE THAT JUSTICE DELAYED IS JUSTICE DENIED. THEREFORE, WE DEMAND THE SPEEDY ADMINISTRATION OF JUSTICE, THAT THE WHEELS OF JUSTICE NOT BE IMPEDED BY POLITICS AND BY POLITICIANS.

WE CALL UPON OUR MEMBERS TO EXPRESS AND DEMONSTRATE OUR CONDEMNATION.

WE CALL UPON THE FILIPINO COMMUNITY IN TORONTO, IN CANADA, AND EVERYWHERE ELSE, TO CRY OUT LOUD AND BE VIGILANT UNTIL THE PERPETRATORS ARE BROUGHT BEFORE THE LAW, NO MATTER WHO THEY ARE AND WHAT POSITION OF POWER THEY HOLD.

WE MUST NEVER ALLOW THESE MURDERERS OFF THE HOOK.

Joe Zagala
President, UPAA (Toronto)
