Dengue kills 54 in 2 weeks

MANILA, Philippines – Fifty-four people have died of dengue across the country in a span of 2 weeks, the Department of Health (DOH) said on Thursday.

According to the latest DOH report, there were 56,005 dengue cases nationwide from January up to August 20, with 321 deaths.

The figure is 24.35% lower compared to the last year’s cases of 74,028 with 517 deaths.
