Bicol Canada releases Penafrancia schedule

The schedule for the novena of Bicolandia’s miraculous patron  saint,  Our Lady of Penafrancia, was approved by the officers and members of the board of directors of the Bicol Canada Community Association headed by its’ president Rafael Nebres who is the general manager of Action Honda.

The novena will  be held at the Our  Lady  of  Assumption parish at Bathurst, North York, Ontario, Canada. The nine months novena will be sponsored by different  Bicolano community and religious organizations  including  Bicolano families  who have settled in Toronto and other parts of Ontario province.

The novena schedule for Our Lady of Penafrancia are as follows:

Jan. 15, 2012, Sunday; Feb.19, 2012, Sunday;  March 18, 20, 2012, Sunday;  April 15, 2012, Sunday;  May 20, 2012, Sunday; June 17, 2012, Sunday;  July 15, 2012, Sunday;  August 19, 2012, Sunday; and September 9, 2012, Sunday). Sept. 15, 2012, Saturday,  will be the fluvial procession in honor  of Bicolandia’s miraculous saint, Our Lady of Penafrancia.

Bicolanos and Bicolanas who are now  living  and  based in Toronto and other parts of  Canada are invited by the Bicol Canada Community Association officers headed by President Rafael Nebres to join them in all their activites both socials, religious, and among others.

The provinces of the Bicol Region or Region V in the Philippines are namely Albay, Camarines Norte,  Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Masbate, and Sorsogon.

The officers of the Bicol Canada Community Association include Rafael Nebres, president; Noli Aquino, vice president for government relations;  Jess Cabrias, vice president for membership; Jojo Taduran,  vice president for public relations; Arlene Martirez, secretary; Elizabeth Malanyaon, assistant secretary; Bobby Achacon, treasurer; Felix Reyes, assistant treasurer; Alex Guerina, auditor; Eugene Deocareza and Benhur Ll. Salcedo, Jr., directors for special projects. The BCCA members of the board of directors are: Naty  DLT  Gutierrez, Fely Ortega, Ching Ragos, Annabelle Migalbin, Larry Bercasio,Willie Nabus,Ely Olayon, Floro A. Dabu, Jr.; Edgar Recon, and Homer Senson.

In the meantime, another special event is being prepared by the officers on March 31, 2012 at the St. Peter and Paul Banquet Hall.
