Students getting their tuition money
Students getting their tuition money
Ontario have already received their cheques for the new 30% Off Ontario Tuition grant. The deadline for getting applications in is approaching – college and university students should apply now so they don’t miss out.
College diploma and certificate students could get $365 back this semester, and university and college degree students could get $800 back.
The New 30% Off Ontario Tuition grant applies to full-time students at a public college or university in Ontario, who have been out of high school for four years or less. It’s for students who have entered a program that you can apply for directly from high school, and for families with a gross income of $160,000 or less.
Students who already receive money through the Ontario Student Assistance Program are automatically considered for the new grant, and don’t need to apply. Students who don’t receive OSAP need to complete a simple online form, and send the signed application in via fax or mail. Students also need their social insurance number, their parents’ social insurance number and income information from their parents.
The sooner students apply, the sooner they’ll get their money. The deadline to submit an application with all supporting documents is March 31, 2012.
