Zumba event to support Folklorico Filipino
Not everybody has heard about Zumba, the latest dance- fitness craze all over the world. It’s an exhilarating, effective, easy-to-follow, Latin-inspired, calorie-burning dance fitness-party that’s moving millions of people toward joy and health. Zumba classes are being offered everywhere. Zumba craze has captured the heart of women’s populace as it is a more fun way of burning off extra calories. Even before they realize it, they already shed off extra pounds while letting themselves let loose and groove to the music on the dance floor.
On April 22,2012, a Zumbathon event will be hosted by a talented Filipina Zumba Instructor from Missisauga, Ontario. Dancing and choreographing for 15 years, Jacqueline Daantos will be hosting a Fundraising event in support of the Folklorico Filipino of Canada for their International Tour to Czech Republic. The event will take place at Franklin Horner Community Center, 432 Horner Avenue, Etobicoke Ontario from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Folklorico Filipino of Canada, the fundraising event’s beneficiary is a dance company formed in year 1973, founded by young, newly immigrant Filipinos of Toronto who were former dancers from the Philippines. Their innovative style, modernizing the folk dances of the Philippine cultures, has made them distinct and recognized Worldwide. Over the years, Folklorico has delighted their audience with enjoyable and exciting programs, all can be thrilled by.
Everyone is encouraged to join and participate. Filipinos are known to have a big heart for fellow Filipinos. The event’s cost, $15.00 in advance, $20.00 at the door will go a long way to help our Filipino participants in their International tour. Their success will be our pride and honor for representing our beloved country.
