Ryley Poblete, Summa Cum Laude
Ryley Alexander Poblete, son of Ben Poblete, grandson of Sir George R. Poblete, recently graduated from University of Houston with his Bachelor of Architecture with a grade of Summa Cum Laude. Ryley also received “The Honors College” Medal from University of Houston, a “Design Award” from Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture and his “Certificate of Merit” from the American Institute of Architecture, for his Project on Houston Urban Plans.
During his high school years, he was awarded a Scholarship by the State of Texas, for winning the State’s Architectural Project Design competition. While working with the UH, he traveled to Buenos Aires, Argentina. Ryley also worked part time (6 years) with an International Architectural and Engineering Company (HOK) that brought him to Rio de Janeiro to help in the Olympic project design in Brasil. He has also traveled to Japan, Korea, Hongkong, Paris and Germany to upgrade his studies. Ryley was accepted by Harvard University to pursue his Masters Degree in September.
In the Summer of 2013, his Engineering and Architectural Company has already planned to send him to Beijing, China for a special International project.
