In community partnership with Carlos Bulosan Theatre, novice playwrights read works developed over the last year. This program is directed by Dora Awardee Nina Lee Aquino.
• Saturday, August 25, 1-3 p.m. – Readings from So You Think You Can… Write a Play?!

In community partnership with the Toronto Public Library and Carlos Bulosan theatre. Budding storytellers read their works created over 3 weeks in playwrighting workshops facilitated by Nina Lee Aquino.

• Saturday, August 25, 6-8pm – Filipino Leaders and Legacies VIP Event:

An open house gathering for community leaders to share the knowledge and inspiration that pushes our community further. Guest list only. RSVP @ info@kapisanancentre.com. Attire: Filipiñana or semiformal.

• Sunday, August 26, 11am – 6 p.m. – ADOBO MASTERS Cook-Off + Kultura Live! @ Artscape Wychwood Barns, 601 Christie Street, Toronto, ON

Rain or shine, this cooking challenge invites local food talent to put their twist on the popular Filipino national dish, Adobo. Featuring: Lamesa Filipino Kitchen, Kanto by Tita Flips, Casa Manila, Remely’s Restaurant and more!

Live music performances by Maylee Todd, Casey Mecija (Ohbijou), April Aliermo (Phedre & Hooded Fang), Alexander The (Times Neue Roman) and Romeo Candido, and more!
