MILES Alexander Santos-Virrey turned one year old August 6 with a grand celebration at Adam’s Park hosted by parents Jessica Santos and Aj Virrey (see photo). The party was attended by lots of aunts, uncles, lolos, lolas and their friends, for Miles -- the newest addition to the bourgeoning Garcia clan in Toronto -- is the first grandchild of Anet Santos-Price and Thomas Price, the first great grandchild of Alta Garcia Santos and Andy Santos, and great great grandchild of the late Hermenegildo Garcia Sr. and Simeona Policarpio Garcia.

SERENA Garcia de Vera’s 12th birthday Aug. 17 was celebrated with a sleep-over with friends, cousins and moms at the Delta Toronto East Hotel; swimming at the cottage; a trip to Niagara Falls with visiting California relatives; and a special lunch and shopping trip with Lolo and Lola. Serena is the daughter of Derek and Lala de Vera.
