Sarangani flashflood displaces close to 400 families

DAVAO CITY – At least 5 people are missing and 391 families have been displaced in several villages in Malungon, Sarangani province after the Tinagacan River overflowed and caused flashfloods Saturday afternoon, the military reported.

Floodwaters reached the roofs of houses in Sitios Mabuhay and Ilang-Ilang, Barangay Malandag and Sitio Lamlifew, Barangay Datal Tampal in Malungon, Sarangani, said William Alfred T. Rodriguez, 1002nd Infantry Brigade information officer.
