Santos Ledesma, Internal Sales Director of Geo-Estate Development Corp., is in Toronto for a two-week survey of the market for condominium units in Makati, Philippines. He didn’t expect a strong response to his “soft” visit.
After a Toronto presentation of the Beacon Residential Resort in Makati, attended by more than two dozen mostly family-related people, he said that about a dozen closed and mostly closed sales will be included in his report soon.
Beacon condo development, now on its third tower phase in its Don Chino Roces Ave.-Arnaiz Ave-Amorosolo St. location in Makati, is proud of its “value for money” approach in its pilot project. Beacon is the first project of New Pacific Resources Management Inc. which is under the leadership of Francisco Licuanan who used to be the President and CEO of Ayala Land Corp., considered the country’s pioneer condo developer.
Much of Beacon’s credibility is derived from Licuanan’s reputation in the condo-building industry. He served for 25 years with Ayala Corp. He was the leading light in many of Ayala’s projects, especially in the Makati area. With the entry of EEI (Engineering Equipment, Inc.) as builder, the Beacon project is expected to draw more attention and clientele in the hot Makati condo market.
Ledesma, who will return to Makati shortly, said he will be back inToronto in December to conduct more and bigger presentations. He said the appeal of Beacon is the “resort-type” lifestyle
it is offering. Its three towers, Roces Tower, Arnaiz Tower and Amorsolo Tower, have three swimming pools, a movie house, jogging trail, bi-level gym, spa, gazebo, three-floor parking, day-care and medical centers. On the street level is a shopping mall with name-brand shops and restaurants.
