Knights of Rizal marks 19th int’l assembly
The Knights of Rizal’s 19th International Assembly will be held February 22-25, 2012 at the Azalea Residences, Baguio City. Expected to attend are Knights worldwide.
The Assembly will be kicked-off with a wreath-laying ceremony at the Rizal Monument at the Luneta Park in Manila. Lunch with Manila City Mayor Alfredo S. Lim, KGCR, will follow.
In Baguio, attendees will have the chance to experience the breeze of the Summer Capital of the Philippines and witness the colorful Panagbenga.
The Order of the Knights of Rizal is a fraternal organization created to honor and uphold the ideals of Philippine national hero Jose P. Rizal. Established on December 30, 1911, the organization was granted a legislative charter by the President of the Philippines as a civic and patriotic organization in 1951. It is characterized not only as a civic and patriotic but also as cultural, non-sectarian, non-partisan and non-racial organization, as well. Since its founding the organization has grown to over 10,000 members belonging to chapters located in countries throughout the world.
